![]() ![]() I have Windows 10 as well and it didn't work for me when Steam first implemented it's "native" DS4 support (for Xinput only games). I run windows 10 though, perhaps tortino doesnt? Nope, he is using DS4 Oh? For me i can use my ps4 controller without the use of external software. I run windows 10 though, perhaps tortino doesnt? I read somewhere that windows 10 supports dualshock4 controllers. I've also heard to stay away from MotionJoy, I think it's the one that if you install it, it's very hard to completely remove and it will conflict with these other 3rd party controller emulators. But I know people have success with either x360ce or InputMapper. Personally, I use DS4Windows and can help you get that going if you want for wired or wireless connection. I've also read (and done limited testing myself), that the Steam native DS4 support just doesn't play nice with some games, and Dark Souls 1 is one of them. ![]() If by any chance it works fine in your first try, and then it stops working, repeat steps 5 to 8 (This could happen in the first menus before loading a saved game) or you can load a saved game with the mouse and once it's loaded you do step 5 to 8.Īs I said, this solution worked fine for me after a lots of trial and error, hope it works for you.Originally posted by LedZepphead:Dark Souls 1 only supports Xinput controllers (like Xbox), to use the DS4 controller (which uses Dinput) with this game you need to use a 3rd party program like DS4Windows, x360ce or InputMapper.Īs far as I know, the way the Steam BPM DS4 "native" controller support works for games that don't have Dinput support is that you need to make your own or use an already created profile for each different game the same way it does for Valves Steam controller. Press B button (Or A in Nintendo's layout) to get out of big picture overlay and it should be working. Push any button in both joycons and wait until they reconnect Once in DS2, hold Home button on Joycons and wait until the controller is turned off. With the joycons working fine in Big Picture start DS2 Open Steam Big Picture (Big Picture is important cause it tries to load controller config every time a controller is connected). Open BetterJoyForCemu as admin and wait until joycons are recognized and connected (be sure is configured to emulate one single controller instead of two separate joycons). Here's a link to the XML file (you just import this using the Import command in the profiler): īeen searching for a long time a solution for playing DS2 with joycons. To do this, just push the switch on the back of the controller over to D instead of X) (On a side-note, you gotta switch your controller to D-Input mode. Otherwise, I can't really see any other reason to use Guardbreak as with enough patience you can kill them without guardbreaking. Hopefully in the future this will be taken care of but for now, this is all I can think of to do to fix the problem. Also, the B button doesn't back out of the menu like it should (pressing Start, however, closes it.) If anyone can find a fix to these please share!įor those of you wondering, the main reason I did this is because the hollows using shields seem to be capable of blocking even when they're raising their shield to strike you with it, which frankly, is complete bullshit and needs to be patched. It works pretty well, but I've found two minor issues: Your range of motion is a bit duller (more jerky) and you can't walk anymore, just run. The camera is very smooth and can be inverted normally with the X/Y Axis inversion option in-game. I've created a workaround using the Logitech Profiler found here and have mapped all the controller settings to the default keyboard controls. ![]() Filtersĭark Souls 3 Wheel And Deal Fashion Souls Dark Souls Mods Dark Souls One Bros Dark Souls Help Dark Souls PvP Demon's Souls Bloodborne Trophy Requestsīlazemalefica on Tumblr for letting us use their fan art of Jester Thomas in our footer! | Please use /r/DarkSouls3 for DS3 content. ![]() No spoilers in the title please! | Confused about SotFS?
